Welcome to The
Samson & Lion
Local Pub in Stourbridge
Situated in an idyllic pocket of Stourbridge by the canal, our traditional, unspoilt 19th century public house welcomes families, musicians, boaters, walkers, cyclists and fishermen alike.
Amicably known as the ‘Sammy’, the pub is a popular setting equally for passer-bys and the locals. Boasting the most fearsome landlady in 1840, and her rival 'She who must be obeyed' in the form of Sheila, the present licensee, the team will ensure that you enjoy your time with us.
If you’re just looking for a bite to eat, we have a selection of bar snacks available which can be washed down with a beer, wine, cider or spirit of your choice in a beautiful location. Remember us if you’re hosting a party, we have a function room ready and waiting. Just ask us for further information regarding catering and disco hire; we have plenty of contacts to help get the party in full swing!
So, whether you’re looking for somewhere to meet with family and friends, have a bite to eat, enjoy some live music or challenge yourself with a classic pub quiz, the Samson and Lion has something to offer everyone.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
